Youth Classes
2025 Winter Programs
Registration Opens 12/18 at 5pm
Programs begin the week of 1/6/2025 for 8 weeks
TINY TUMBLERS (ages 2-4) Children will explore movement through the fun of gymnastics. Classes are non-competitive and will focus on developing coordination and listening skills. Have fun while developing basic gymnastic skills, body awareness, balance and flexibility.* parent must be present and participating
BEGINNER (ages 5-12) Say hello to the sport of gymnastics in this school age class. Classes are non-competitive and will focus on gymnastic shapes and positions. Have fun while developing basic gymnastic skills, body awareness, balance and flexibility.
ADVANCED (ages 5-12) Continue on your gymnastic journey by improving your flexibility, balance and body awareness. Learn more advanced rolling and tumbling. Have fun exploring and practicing headstands, handstands, cartwheels and more. This is a non-competitive class but requires a coaches recommendation.
In this class, they will explore art through hands on activities where they will have a good messy time. Come make a mess with us!
AGES: 4-6
This class will help to further develop children’s fundamental motor skills and movement patterns. This class will teach them the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship through a variety of different sports.
AGES: 5-8 and 9-12
Learn essential soccer skills – dribbling, passing, and shooting in a fun environment.
AGES: 5-8 and 9-12
Learn essential basketball skills – dribbling, passing, and shooting in a fun environment.
AGES: 5-10
Little ones can get moving and energized in this upbeat class! Your child will learn the basic fundamentals of hip-hop and how to move to the music with ease.
Children will be introduced to specific skills in different sports to enhance their development as well as increasing their levels of coordination in general through speed, agility and quickness training
BEGINNERS (ages 5-8) – This class is designed to help kids with understanding the very basic fundamentals of learning to play tennis at a rudimentary level. It will involve learning to strike, volleys, serves and different return styles.
INTERMEDIATE (ages 9-12) – This class is for those that have the basics of tennis under control and are looking to be able to utilize ground strokes, volleys and serves.

AGES: 6-36 months (parent/child) parent must be present and participating
In this family oriented class you will complete activities including story time, art projects, free play, a movement segment, and circle time, learning basic readiness skills and group interaction
In this beginner class you will learn guitar basics like strumming, picking, strings and parts of the guitar. Must bring your own guitar – if you have questions regarding the type of guitar please contact us.

Does your toddler like to move and shake? Then they will have a blast in this class! Toddlers will enjoy singing songs, moving, and playing with musical instruments in this upbeat music and movement class!
In this class, kids will be creating professional looking greeting cards, felt stuffies, candy melts, and lollipops as DIY gifts which can be used for festive occasions or building professional skills. Let the creative star in your child chine.

Registration for all programs can be completed by visiting the Front Desk. Many of our programs (excluding swim lessons) can also be registered for online at www.meadowlandsymca.org/register. Follow the instructions for setting up your account and you’re good to go!
