Our infant nurturing program is a “home away from home” that features individual cribs and a schedules for each child. We create an inviting environment that allows them to feel comfortable and adjusted to this new experience. Our infant rooms are equipped with rockers, swings, exersaucers, bottle warmers, soft toys and books to soothe and stimulate infants.
Your baby’s first year is one of wonder and excitement. We understand how important it is to be involved with the many milestones they’ll reach. At the Mara Center, our experienced directors, teachers will be there for you to answer all your questions and concerns along the way. We’ll provide you with daily electric reports and real time updates for events like diaper changes, meals, naps, milestones, and any other specific requests you may have – like how they’re doing with solid foods for example. With clear and consistent communication, parents will always be informed about how your infant is doing.

In our science center, children will explore the wonderful ways that science affects life and environment. By learning about geology, anatomy, ecology, and health sciences, they’ll gain a stronger sense of the world around them. We’ll also spend time playing with natural elements like sand and water to discover and develop a sensory understanding of the natural world.
A literacy curriculum is vital to any early education program. By providing children with a quiet area to practice their reading, writing, and comprehension skills we encourage them to express ideas, explore their interests, and learn about the world. Our approach to reading and language arts will foster skills in children that will prepare them for future academic success.
Children will refine their motor skills, practice problem solving, and learn to work with their classmates in our block-based learning center. We’ll show them some basic concepts pertaining to engineering and architectural concepts. Block-play encourages them to creatively build structures and communities with blocks, block people, and block animals.
Dramatic play encourages creativity, self-expression, and communication. In our performing arts learning center, children will role play to learn about their community and to better understand real-world interactions. Including music and movement lessons allow children to experiment with sound and learn through songs.
Our math learning center provides the foundation for children to further develop their fine motor skills and basic math concepts. They will practice problem-solving skills and improve hand-eye coordination through sorting counters and other similar activities. A manipulative math center provides children with a positive outlook towards math, engaging their interest in an important area of focus.
An art learning center serves as a creative outlet for kids to explore their imagination while also developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Children will spend time with different textures and use various materials to create their works of art.
Our learning center for gross motor skills will focus on the connection between mind and body. Through active games in our spacious classrooms, time in our pool, and turfed outdoor playground, children will gain an understanding of basic body movements like throwing, kicking, and catching.
A social studies learning center introduces children to different cultures and communities from around the world through playful educational activities and crafts projects. Our students will begin to develop their world-view and establish a base understanding of geography by exploring and creating simple maps.
